Event triggers
Event triggers come from Shopify as they happen: customer created or updated, order created, paid or fulfilled, fulfillment updates, refunds, checkout updated and similar events.
Time-based triggers
A daily scan runs in your store's timezone and starts these automations:
- Win-back: no order in a number of days you choose
- Birthday
- First-order anniversary
Starter recipes
Five recipes come ready to use: welcome, abandoned cart, shipping update, review request and win-back. Open Automations and switch a recipe on. Each one starts from a complete template with your brand applied.
If a recipe overlaps with one of Shopify's own notification emails, for example a shipping update, you see a warning with a link to turn the Shopify one off.
Triggers on each plan
The Free plan includes one welcome sequence. Pro and Advanced include all triggers and unlimited sequences. Items your plan does not include are shown locked with the plan they need. During the 14-day trial, everything is available.
